Wayne Skelton is an East Texas native and is the owner and founder of JWS Custom Homes, LLC – a custom home building and remodeling business. Wayne started his business over 25 years ago by building his first spec home.  He has since completed numerous spec homes, custom homes and has also developed and completed two subdivisions.  

He prides himself on building quality custom homes.  Most of his subcontractors have been with him his entire career which speaks volumes about them each.  If you know him, if he has built for you, you have heard him say, probably  multiple times, “I am only as good as my subs”, and he is lucky to have some of the best in the business. Through these strong relationships, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence, Wayne continues to build homes – and trust -throughout the local area.

Wayne isn’t big business or big corporation.  He is a local guy who answers his own phone.  He oversees every project from concept to completion, budgeting and scheduling, ensuring attention to detail, clear communication and beautiful results.  When things aren’t right, he makes it right.  He prides himself on being ‘old school’ where a handshake means more than any paper contract.  He has built a reputation for integrity, reliability and beautifully crafted homes designed to stand the test of time.

He is the father of four, the grandfather of nine and has been a flight paramedic for 37 years.
